Melbourne, AUSTRALIA (16 May 2017) - Nissan Motor Company Australia is delighted to announce that Karla Leach has been appointed General Manager, Corporate Communications.

Karla joins the Nissan team with a wealth of communications and marketing experience< accumulated from many years in the automotive and telecommunications industries as well as in marketing agencies. She was most recently responsible for communications at Mazda Australia and prior to that she led Fiat-Chrysler’s communications functions in Australia.

Karla replaces Peter Fadeyev, who was recently appointed General Manager of Product Communications for Nissan in the ASEAN and Oceania region. She will lead the company’s communications function for Nissan, Nissan Motorsport and INFINITI and report to Richard Emery, Nissan’s Managing Director and CEO in Australia and functionally to Lavanya Wadgaonkar, VP Communications for Asia and Oceania.

Karla will work alongside Colette Dunn, Nissan Australia’s Corporate Communications Coordinator, and Nissan Australia’s Product Communications Manager, which is currently an open position and subject to a future announcement.

Karla will commence with Nissan on Monday 22 May 2017 and her new contact details will be communicated prior to this date.
