Nissan supports 2018 Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games
Perth, Australia (9 May, 2018) - Nissan Australia has signed as the exclusive motoring partner of the 2018 Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games (AP&ES Games).
Nissan is supplying a fleet of vehicles to the event - made up of Nissan’s most popular Navara, the ST Dual Cab, and the Nissan Pathfinder - which will be used in the lead up to, and during, the Games.
The Australasian Police & Emergency Services Games is a biennial multi-sport event aimed at first responders and other emergency services providers including; police, ambulance, fire brigade, SES, customs and protective services, A&E nurses, St Johns ambulance, the Royal Flying Doctors, and many more.
Held over seven days and staged in Mandurah - an hour south of Perth - between October 28 and November 3, it will attract over 3,000 entrants from 10 countries who will compete in AFL 9s, basketball, cricket, cycling, equestrian, fire truck pull, golf, netball, athletics and softball and many other individual and team sports.

Launched in February, the Nissan Navara is one of the country’s favourite utes.
During the Games, drivers will enjoy the 2.3 litre inter-cooled twin-turbo diesel which boasts 140kW of power at 3,750rpm and 450Nm of torque at 1,500-2,500rpm.
The Nissan Navara ST Dual Cab 4X4 has a 2.3 litre intercooled twin-turbo diesel engine that outputs 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque.
It includes satellite navigation with 3D mapping, reverse camera, a 7-inch integrated colour display with touch screen and a leather accented steering wheel as standard equipment.
The perfect vehicle to get to beach events, the Navara includes an electronic rear diff lock, a shift-on-the fly 4WD system that switches between 2WD and high range 4WD (4H), and it carves through sandy terrain when in low range 4WD (4LO).
Boasting 3,500kg braked towing capacity, the Navara ST Dual Cab 4X4 also comes with driver and passenger airbags, driver knee airbag and front to rear curtain airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Brake Limited Slip Differential (BLSD), Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS) and Brake Assist (BA).
In contrast, the seven-seat Nissan Pathfinder comes in three grades, the entry ST, the mid-spec ST-L and the range-topping Ti.
Its powerful 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine has 202kW of power and 340Nm of torque and is fitted exclusively with an Xtronic Continuously Variable transmission, with a choice of two-wheel or four-wheel drive. There is also a hybrid option featuring a supercharged 2.5 Litre petrol engine paired with a 15km electric motor with 188kW of power and 330Nm of torque available.
The perfect support vehicle for the AP&ES Games, the Pathfinder stores 2,260 litres of rear cargo - with all seats folded - and comes with an assortment of active safety technologies. Grade dependent, safety includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
With Bluetooth® handsfree phone system and audio streaming with voice recognition, iPod® compatible USB points, a rear view camera with predictive path technology, rear parking sensors and an 8 inch touch screen colour display and more, the Pathfinder is tech heavy.
2018 marks the 17th Games, which are open to all serving, retired and volunteer members of eligible law enforcement and emergency service agencies, and seek to maximise participation by promoting the physical and mental strengths of competitors.
